親父／兄貴よりでかくなった話 (3)

最近2人の息子（16歳と14歳でずっと仲が良かった）が口喧嘩していたから、兄の方に理由を尋ねてみたら出て行ってしまったんだ。弟に訊いてみたら、なんてこった！驚いたよ。そいつは、兄貴が、俺のほうがデカイって認められればすべてOKだって俺に言った。

「なんだって？お前の方が大きいだなんて！」

小さい方は顔を赤くして言った。「ある部分では俺の方がでかいんだ。」

俺はショックで一瞬ハングした。「兄貴は13cmくらいで、俺のは23cmだ。もっとデカイかも。」

信じられん。それが問題の原因になっていることも、俺の14歳の息子が23cm以上のモノを持ってることも！（俺はほんの15cmで、うらやましく思った！）

真剣に聞くが、俺はこの喧嘩に何か言うべきなのか、それともそのままにしておくべきなのか？

息子の股間の膨らみに気づいていたことは認めざるを得ないが、あまり考えないようにしてきた。いまやいつも気になってしまう。太くもなってきているようだ。妻にもいってみたが、妻は自分の父親がものすごくデカイことで有名だったと言っていた。「30cm砲」だなんてあだ名がつけられてたんだろうな。

Lately my two boys (always best of friends and aged 16 and 14) have been at each others throats. I questioned the older brother and got nowhere. When I questioned the younger -- boy, did I get a surprise. He told me that everything had been OK until his older brother found out that he (the younger) was bigger. I said: "What? You're not bigger!" He blushed and said, "I am in a certain department." I was so shocked I left an awkward pause hang. He then said: "He's about five inches and I'm nine. More actually." I couldn't believe this! First, that this is the source of the problem and, second, that my 14 year old has "more than" nine inches! (I'm a measley 6 and now I'm jealous!) On a serious note, should I do/say something about this rivalry or let it alone?

I must admit that I had noticed my son's bulge, but didn't think much about it. Now I notice it all the time. He appears to be thick also. I told my wife and she admitted that her father was known to be very, very large. Apparently he had the nickname of "Footie" at one time.
